Job Description:

Lab Technician position for a Medical Devices Company in Vernon Hills, IL. This is a 12-month contract role for US Citizens or GC Holders only, working 1st Shift (8:00AM-5:00PM), 40 hours per week.

Job Responsibility:

  • Independently plans and performs experiments that support sustaining engineering, new product development or technology feasibility testing
  • Participates in Equipment and Test Method validations at the direction of the TMD/V&V group
  • Assists in the planning and execution of testing
  • Maintains documentation per GDP
  • Reports results to project stakeholders and prepares technical reports
  • Serves as a technical expert regarding laboratory instrumentation, including but not limited to, robotic workstations, automated analysis instrumentation, and general laboratory equipment
  • Maintains good laboratory practices (GLP) consistent with MDS product development objectives and regulatory guidelines
  • Completes other duties as assigned
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Requirements:

  • 1 year laboratory experience
  • Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Strong time management skills required
  • Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is required
  • AS degree in a scientific discipline
  • BS degree in a scientific discipline
  • Must follow all Client housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Must follow all Client safety policies and procedures
