Job Description:

We are seeking a Lab Technician IV to support system-level validation and testing of advanced storage products within a fast-paced engineering environment. This role focuses on hands-on lab work, including hardware validation, scripting, debugging, and failure analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience working with storage systems, embedded technologies, and industry-standard interfaces. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to execute test plans, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product quality and performance. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys deep technical problem-solving, working with lab equipment, and driving issues to resolution in a team-oriented setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform storage validation testing using hardware infrastructure and tools (oscilloscopes, analyzers, storage testers)
  • Develop, execute, and debug eSSD testing scripts using Python and internal frameworks
  • Create and manage Jira tickets and generate detailed test reports
  • Maintain lab infrastructure, including equipment inventory, OS/software installations, and licensing
  • Conduct first-level failure analysis and troubleshoot test setup issues
  • Support system-level debugging and assist engineering teams in issue resolution

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of: Storage systems and environments
  • Computer architecture and system-level behavior
  • Embedded systems fundamentals
  • Firmware concepts
  • Experience with industry protocols such as: NVMe / PCIe / USB
  • Hands-on debugging experience, including: JTAG debugging tools
  • Lab equipment such as oscilloscopes (DSOs), logic analyzers, protocol analyzers
  • Proficiency in: Python scripting
  • Linux operating systems
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and drive them to resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical Associate’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
