Job Responsibility:
Under direct supervision, trains and becomes familiar with the company's Laboratory Safety Management System and current HSE laboratory safety standards
Follows all prescribed safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable company guidelines and procedures, when performing assigned duties
Performs prototype or laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures and applicable company guidelines/ requirements
Works primarily with mechanical testing equipment to support product and materials testing
Learns to maintain and calibrate equipment and to perform basic material or environmental tests using standard electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical techniques
Learns to accurately document test data for reporting purposes using the company database
Performs hands on laboratory tasks, including standing for extended periods, and safely lifting, carrying, or moving equipment and materials as required
Maintains files and documentation related to test equipment and associated test results
Job tasks, when performed correctly, have minimal impact on the overall viability of the organization
