Job Responsibility:

  • Under direct supervision, trains and becomes familiar with the company's Laboratory Safety Management System and current HSE laboratory safety standards
  • Follows all prescribed safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable company guidelines and procedures, when performing assigned duties
  • Performs prototype or laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures and applicable company guidelines/ requirements
  • Works primarily with mechanical testing equipment to support product and materials testing
  • Learns to maintain and calibrate equipment and to perform basic material or environmental tests using standard electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical techniques
  • Learns to accurately document test data for reporting purposes using the company database
  • Performs hands on laboratory tasks, including standing for extended periods, and safely lifting, carrying, or moving equipment and materials as required
  • Maintains files and documentation related to test equipment and associated test results
  • Job tasks, when performed correctly, have minimal impact on the overall viability of the organization
