  • Maintain high standards of laboratory housekeeping and 5S compliance
  • Take responsibility for allocated lab equipment, ensuring it remains validated, calibrated, and fit for use
  • Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement activities (e.g., Kanban, 5S, sustainability initiatives)
  • Perform all activities safely and in line with Synergy and customer procedures
  • Escalate any issues relating to safety, compliance or data integrity
  • Ensure all media, standards and solutions used are within expiry
  • Maintain accurate training records and proactively request refresher training where needed
  • Work closely with Synergy Team Leaders, the Synergy Lab Support Supervisor, and customer departments including Lab Leads, Quality, Compliance, and EHS
  • Support colleagues through cross-training and provide cover where required

Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Customer-focused, collaborative, and able to work effectively in a team
  • Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on lab environment
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with SOPs, risk assessments or regulated environments
  • Previous lab, manufacturing, or quality experience
  • Understanding of COSHH and/or laboratory safety
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement tools (5S, Kanban, etc.)
