For this leading Life Science company, based in Leuven, we are looking for a dedicated Lab Assistant to join the dynamic team on the permanent night shift. They specialize in the production of custom oligonucleotides and advanced technologies for genomics applications. Your work will contribute to scientific research and crucial medical diagnostics, such as the fight against cancer and COVID.

Job Responsibility:

Provide assistance to Operations by cleaning, decontamination, and waste disposal

Requirements:

  • Perform lab cleaning and decontamination protocols
  • Keep the lab orderly and functional
  • Change waste containers and dispose of waste material
  • Keep stock levels sufficient in the lab
  • Assist with general laboratory maintenance
  • Maintain accurate and detailed product & instrument records
  • Communicate with all levels of peers and management
  • Perform other duties as specified by management
  • Report any problems to management
  • Follow all work instructions and adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Prepare synthesis plates or columns so that they are ready for synthesis
  • which includes washing, drying, fritting and membrane loading
  • Perform quality and safety control checks
  • Perform optical density measurements
