Job Description:

We’re looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented Lab Assistant to join our washroom operations team. This role is essential to keeping our laboratory running smoothly and safely. This position supports the daily operation of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine divisions. The Laboratory Assistant I performs clerical, technical, or both duties as they pertain to the specific Laboratory division.

Job Responsibility:

  • Sterilize and clean laboratory equipment according to established protocols
  • Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels
  • Support overall lab cleanliness and organization
  • Work on your feet for most of the shift in a fast‑paced environment

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Computer/keyboard experience is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Dependable, punctual, and comfortable with physical, on‑your‑feet work
  • A team‑oriented mindset and willingness to help where needed

  • Ensure that inpatient and outpatient waiting areas are kept neat, orderly and fully stocked of supplies, gowns and linens
