We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled L3 Storage Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storage technologies, software development, and enterprise infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level storage systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of storage solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Provide L3-level support for storage infrastructure, resolving complex issues and ensuring minimal downtime
Design, implement, and maintain scalable storage solutions and architectures
Develop scripts and automation tools using Python or Perl to enhance operational efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Networking, and Infrastructure to optimize storage performance
Perform capacity planning, performance analysis, and proactive monitoring of storage systems
Participate in incidents, problems, and change management processes
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across operating systems, networks, and storage environments
Maintain detailed documentation of storage architecture, configurations, and procedures
Requirements:
8–12 years of relevant experience as a Storage Engineer or similar role
Proficiency in Python or Perl programming
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices
Intermediate knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Object-Oriented concepts and SQL programming
Experience in Distributed/Scale-out storage, File systems, High-availability methods, and database integration
Understanding of networking protocols and connectivity
Exposure to enterprise UNIX (RHEL)/Windows Server environments, Container environments (OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker), and Cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP)
Familiarity with Client/Server and Scale-out architectures, virtualization, performance, and capacity management
Effective troubleshooting skills across OS, network, and storage layers
