Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled L3 Storage Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storage technologies, software development, and enterprise infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level storage systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of storage solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide L3-level support for storage infrastructure, resolving complex issues and ensuring minimal downtime
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable storage solutions and architectures
  • Develop scripts and automation tools using Python or Perl to enhance operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Networking, and Infrastructure to optimize storage performance
  • Perform capacity planning, performance analysis, and proactive monitoring of storage systems
  • Participate in incidents, problems, and change management processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across operating systems, networks, and storage environments
  • Maintain detailed documentation of storage architecture, configurations, and procedures

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience as a Storage Engineer or similar role
  • Proficiency in Python or Perl programming
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices
  • Intermediate knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented concepts and SQL programming
  • Knowledge of storage technologies: Fibre Channel, iSCSI, SCSI, NFS, CIFS, POSIX, Object Storage, SAS, SATA, FLASH (NVMe, SSD), RAID, Erasure Coding
  • Experience in Distributed/Scale-out storage, File systems, High-availability methods, and database integration
  • Understanding of networking protocols and connectivity
  • Exposure to enterprise UNIX (RHEL)/Windows Server environments, Container environments (OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker), and Cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Familiarity with Client/Server and Scale-out architectures, virtualization, performance, and capacity management
  • Effective troubleshooting skills across OS, network, and storage layers
