Job Description

We are seeking a Kubernetes Engineer to support the design, implementation, and security of enterprise Kubernetes and cloud platform environments. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and automated container platforms across hybrid and multi-cloud environments while partnering closely with engineering, cloud, and security teams. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Kubernetes security, cloud-native architecture, and platform engineering, along with a strong understanding of automation, DevSecOps, and enterprise governance standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and implement secure Kubernetes platforms across cloud and hybrid environments, including EKS, GKE, and OpenShift
  • Develop and maintain secure-by-default Kubernetes standards including RBAC and workload identity
  • Develop and maintain secure-by-default Kubernetes standards including Network segmentation and policies
  • Develop and maintain secure-by-default Kubernetes standards including Secrets management
  • Develop and maintain secure-by-default Kubernetes standards including Policy-as-code frameworks
  • Define and support Kubernetes reference architectures, reusable modules, and platform standards aligned with enterprise governance requirements
  • Support proof-of-concept initiatives for emerging Kubernetes and container security technologies
  • Assess and improve Kubernetes and cloud security posture using industry best practices and security benchmarks
  • Contribute to automation initiatives using Infrastructure-as-Code and policy-as-code approaches
  • Partner with application and engineering teams to support secure deployment of containerized workloads
  • Collaborate with cloud platform, infrastructure, and security teams to improve Kubernetes adoption and operational maturity
  • Support integration of security controls into CI/CD and DevSecOps workflows
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform, security, and infrastructure-related issues across Kubernetes environments

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or cloud security roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes
  • Strong hands-on experience with EKS / GKE / OpenShift
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and GCP cloud environments
  • Experience securing Kubernetes platforms including RBAC and workload identity
  • Experience securing Kubernetes platforms including Network policies and segmentation
  • Experience securing Kubernetes platforms including Pod security standards
  • Experience securing Kubernetes platforms including Policy-as-code frameworks (OPA/Gatekeeper or similar)
  • Experience with container and runtime security including Vulnerability management
  • Experience with container and runtime security including Image scanning
  • Experience with container and runtime security including Workload protection
  • Strong understanding of Cloud-native architectures
  • Strong understanding of Containers and microservices
  • Strong understanding of Multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments
  • Experience integrating security into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines
  • Strong networking and cloud security fundamentals
  • Experience working in Agile and cross-functional engineering environments
