The Kubernetes Migration Engineer is responsible for executing the migration and deployment of containerized workloads into Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This role supports Kubernetes platform configuration, application deployment, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and post-migration validation activities. In addition, the role operates within a managed services environment, ensuring operational stability by proactively managing, monitoring, and resolving technical incidents across cloud and container platforms.
Job Responsibility
Execute migration of containerized workloads to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Deploy and configure Kubernetes clusters and associated services in Azure
Support containerization efforts using Docker and related tools
Manage Kubernetes resources using YAML manifests and Helm charts
Assist in migration validation, testing, and performance tuning
Troubleshoot container, cluster, and deployment-related issues
Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and performance
Monitor cluster health, workloads, and resource utilization
Support integration with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
Perform Linux system administration tasks supporting container platforms
Assist in implementing networking, security, and storage configurations within Kubernetes environments
Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLA timelines under general supervision
Proactively monitor systems and identify potential issues before service impact
Investigate, analyse, and troubleshoot complex issues across container and cloud environments
Maintain accurate and timely ticket updates with clear resolution documentation
Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or Technical Leads as required
Ensure adherence to ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management
Support, track, and document change implementation activities
Contribute to service improvement initiatives and automation efforts
Participate in disaster recovery and operational readiness activities where applicable
Work closely with Technical Leads, DevOps teams, and architects to support migration and operational activities
Share knowledge, document solutions, and contribute to knowledge base improvements
Support junior engineers and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in Azure and Kubernetes implementation and operations
