Job Responsibility

  • Design, deploy, and operate stateful database workloads (specifically PostgreSQL) on Kubernetes-based platforms
  • Implement and manage persistent storage, backup/restore pipelines, data replication, and high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies
  • Develop automation for provisioning, upgrades, and scaling using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Ensure security and governance by implementing RBAC, encryption, secrets management, and network policies
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database and cluster performance to ensure quality and reliability
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to design and implement database-as-a-service patterns
  • Participate in international projects, contributing to technology watch and influencing future architectural choices
  • Provide production support, including 10-hour shifts and on-call rotation (approximately one week per month).

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing databases running on Kubernetes-based platforms
  • Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and cloud-native data services
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, and security policies.
