Job Description:

We are looking for dedicated KS3 Teaching Assistants to support students across North Wales. This is a brilliant opportunity to help pupils aged 11-14 build a strong academic foundation as they start their secondary school journey.

Job Responsibility:

  • Helping Year 7 students transition smoothly from primary to secondary school
  • Explaining lesson instructions clearly to ensure all students can complete their work
  • Leading small group "catch-up" sessions for literacy and numeracy support
  • Supporting the classroom teacher with behaviour management and student engagement
  • Working 1-on-1 with students who require extra patience and guidance
  • Assisting with the preparation of creative classroom resources and displays
  • Acting as a positive role model to help students build their confidence and social skills

Requirements:

  • A patient, adaptable, and energetic approach to working with young people
  • Good levels of literacy and numeracy to support the KS3 curriculum
  • The ability to travel to schools within the North Wales region
  • Reliability and a commitment to providing consistent support for students
  • An enhanced DBS check (or a willingness to complete one with us)
