We are currently inviting skilled Teaching Assistants to join our partner secondary schools throughout Chester-covering areas such as Christleton, Hoole, Upton, Blacon, Huntington, and Handbridge. Whether you are looking for the variety of day-to-day supply or the stability of a long-term placement, we provide the opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide academic support to students across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Lead small group interventions to help pupils prepare for GCSE assessments
  • Work one-to-one with individual students to improve subject understanding
  • Assist the class teacher in maintaining a productive and focused environment
  • Simplify complex lesson objectives to ensure all students can progress
  • Prepare and organise learning materials tailored to the secondary level
  • Monitor student performance and deliver progress reports to the department
  • Ensure student safety and follow school safeguarding protocols at all times
  • Supervise students during lesson changes and structured break periods

Requirements:

  • Previous work experience with children or young people is preferred
  • A calm, professional manner and the ability to adapt to different subjects
  • An Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one and the right to work in the UK
