Job Description

Justteachers is seeking a KS2 teacher to join a primary school in the Rochdale area with a September start on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave for the first term of the new academic year. This inclusive school values their diverse community and staff strive for the very best for every child, maintaining strong relationships between pupils, staff and families.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge pupils across Key Stage 2
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour
  • Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, helping them prepare for the transition to secondary education
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 or successful completion of KS2 teaching placements
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and preparation for SATs and end-of-Key-Stage assessments
  • Two recent educational references
