Shape the Future: KS2 Teacher in Preston! Are you an ambitious Key Stage 2 Teacher (QTS) looking to inspire older primary pupils to reach their full potential? We are seeking dynamic and dedicated educators to join supportive primary schools across Preston starting in January 2026. From preparing Year 6 for their transition to secondary school to helping Year 3 find their feet in the junior department, you will lead a classroom where critical thinking is encouraged and academic confidence is built. Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, challenging lessons across the KS2 curriculum (Years 3-6)
  • Prepare pupils for statutory assessments (SATs) with a focus on progress and wellbeing
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that caters to a wide range of abilities and needs
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies that foster respect and a love for learning
  • Analyse student data to identify gaps in learning and provide targeted interventions
  • Lead and inspire classroom support staff to maximize student achievement
  • Engage in the wider life of the school, including clubs, parents' evenings, and staff training

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Strong subject knowledge across all KS2 National Curriculum areas
  • Ability to use assessment for learning to drive student outcomes
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
