KS1 Teaching Assistants Wanted - North Manchester Primary Schools! Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting young learners in Key Stage 1? Do you have experience in UK school settings and are looking for a rewarding role in North Manchester? We want to hear from you! We are seeking dedicated and engaging Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant primary school communities across the North Manchester area. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in the early stages of children's education, helping them to build foundational skills and thrive.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing in-class support to pupils in Key Stage 1, individually or in small groups, under the direction of the class teacher
  • Assisting with the implementation of lesson plans and supporting children with their learning activities across various subjects
  • Helping to create a positive, engaging, and stimulating learning environment
  • Supporting classroom management and promoting positive behaviour among young children
  • Assisting with the preparation of classroom resources and displays
  • Liaising with the class teacher regarding pupil progress and any observations
  • Supporting children during independent work, group activities, and play

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-6 months of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in UK school settings (specifically Nursery and/or Primary, with a focus on KS1 being a strong advantage)
  • Willingness to attend and complete Team Teach training (provided as part of your induction, if not already held)
  • A dedicated and reliable individual looking for full-time, long-term work
  • Ability to commit to full-time hours, typically 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, during term time
  • A genuine desire to support children aged 5-7 (Years 1 & 2), assisting with literacy, numeracy, and overall development
  • Patience, empathy, excellent communication skills, adaptability, a proactive approach, and a positive attitude
