Job Description:

An inviting and creative specialist school in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a teaching support assistant to support learning across KS1. This is a fabulous opportunity to join a team that is listened to, respected and valued. Pupils can play freely outside or choose a quiet space indoors, their individual needs and interests are echoed in their school experience. This is a long term and full time role available to start from January 2026! The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with a committed, hardworking, and talented staff in an appealing and well-resourced learning environment. You will genuinely be able to influence students' learning and make sure they are progressing well in every subject with the support and guidance of the class teacher and senior leadership team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting KS1 learners on a 1:1, small group, and whole class basis
  • Supporting SEN learners in KS1
  • Knowledge of various teaching methods
  • Ability to communicate with children and engage them with creative activities

Requirements:

  • Be a resilient, committed and enthusiastic individual
  • Relevant teaching assistant or childcare experience (UK based)
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
  • 2 recent proven and professional references
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eligible to work in UK
