A friendly Primary School in the Lanchester area is seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant with experience in phonics to support children in developing their early reading and writing skills.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting small groups or individual pupils with phonics and literacy
  • Assisting with classroom activities and learning tasks
  • Helping children gain confidence and progress in reading and writing
  • Working closely with teachers to implement phonics schemes and strategies

Requirements

  • Experience working with Key Stage 1 pupils

  • Assist with contract management activities, including monitoring, and supporting contract variations and extensions
  • Maintain accurate records and databases relating to commissioning activities, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
  • Assist in the development and implementation of commissioning frameworks, policies and procedures
  • Liaise and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including services providers, community groups and partner organisations
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, policies and best practices related to commissioning, sharing knowledge with the team
