Primary Teacher. KS1 Teacher | Year 1 & 2 Specialist | Local Primary Schools Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Paid to Scale) Start Date: Immediate / Next Term Are you a creative educator who loves turning "first steps" into "big leaps"? We are seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher (Year 1 or Year 2) to join a collaborative primary faculty. Job Responsibility

  • Deliver High-Impact Phonics: Lead daily phonics sessions that build the decoding skills essential for early reading success
  • Creative Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute engaging, play-infused lessons in Numeracy and Literacy that meet National Curriculum standards
  • Nurturing Environment: Create a classroom culture where 5-to-7-year-olds feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and celebrate their "lightbulb moments."
  • Progress Tracking: Use formative assessment to monitor early milestones, ensuring every child receives the targeted support they need to thrive

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory (ECTs/NQTs are highly encouraged to apply)
  • Phonics Experience: A strong understanding of systematic synthetic phonics (SSP) delivery
  • Classroom Presence: The energy and patience to manage a vibrant KS1 classroom while maintaining a focused learning flow
  • Compliance: A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) and a 100% commitment to Safeguarding
