Job Description:

KS1 Teacher – Full-time, day-to-day supply from November 2025. These flexible opportunities are ideal for KS1 teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be supporting pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 across a range of schools in Harpenden and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging lessons and helping children build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social development.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver high-quality teaching to KS1 pupils across various schools
Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of different learners
Support children’s academic and emotional development
Collaborate with support staff and senior leaders to ensure effective provision
Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Provide feedback and contribute to pupil progress reviews
Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching KS1 in mainstream primary settings
Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics programmes
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Flexible, reliable, and confident working across different schools
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
