Job Responsibility
Deliver High-Impact Phonics: Lead daily phonics sessions that build the decoding skills essential for early reading success
Creative Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute engaging, play-infused lessons in Numeracy and Literacy that meet National Curriculum standards
Nurturing Environment: Create a classroom culture where 5-to-7-year-olds feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and celebrate their 'lightbulb moments'
Progress Tracking: Use formative assessment to monitor early milestones, ensuring every child receives the targeted support they need to thrive
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory (ECTs/NQTs are highly encouraged to apply)
Phonics Experience: A strong understanding of systematic synthetic phonics (SSP) delivery
Classroom Presence: The energy and patience to manage a vibrant KS1 classroom while maintaining a focused learning flow
Compliance: A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) and a 100% commitment to Safeguarding
