Job Description:

KS1 Teacher | Year 1 & 2 Specialist | Local Primary Schools Location: Swindon & Surrounding Areas Position: Full-Time, Temporary (Fixed-Term) Salary: £140 - £233 per day (Paid to Scale) Start Date: Immediate / Next Term Are you a creative educator who loves turning "first steps" into "big leaps"? Join a supportive local primary team where your passion for early literacy and active learning can truly shine. Build the Foundation for Lifelong Learning The transition into Key Stage 1 is where the magic of "reading to learn" begins. We are seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher (Year 1 or Year 2) to join a collaborative primary faculty. Whether you are an ECT looking for a school that offers a structured induction or an experienced practitioner seeking a fresh, resource-rich environment, this role provides the perfect platform. Scale-Matched Pay: We strictly adhere to MPS/UPS scales (£140 - £233 per day), ensuring your expertise is rewarded with reliable weekly payments via Randstad. Phonics & Literacy Support: Access bespoke 2026 CPD focusing on high-impact programs like Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle. Collaborative Planning: Work within a team that shares "Schemes of Work" and creative resources, allowing you to focus on delivery rather than administrative burnout. Supportive Induction: Full mentor ship available for Early Career Teachers to help you navigate your first years in the classroom. Your Role as an Early Years Expert As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you are the architect of a child's foundational academic skills. Deliver High-Impact Phonics: Lead daily phonics sessions that build the decoding skills essential for early reading success. Nurturing Environment: Create a classroom culture where 5-to-7-year-olds feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and celebrate their "lightbulb moments." Progress Tracking: Use formative assessment to monitor early milestones, ensuring every child receives the targeted support they need to thrive. Essential Requirements To be considered for this Primary Teaching role, you must meet the following: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory (ECTs/NQTs are highly encouraged to apply). Phonics Experience: A strong understanding of systematic synthetic phonics (SSP) delivery. Classroom Presence: The energy and patience to manage a vibrant KS1 classroom while maintaining a focused learning flow.
