Job Description:

KS1 Supply Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different primary school settings. You’ll be supporting schools in Newton Abbot and the surrounding areas, teaching Key Stage 1 pupils across a range of subjects.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum following provided plans
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Assess and record pupil progress where required
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learners
Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to the wider school community

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge across the KS1 curriculum
Excellent classroom management skills
Adaptable and confident working across different schools and year groups
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
