Job Advert: KS1 Supply Teacher - Gatwick, West Sussex. Are you an enthusiastic and passionate Key Stage 1 (KS1) teacher looking for an exciting supply teaching opportunity in Gatwick? Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons that align with the national curriculum for Key Stage 1 students
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive and safe learning environment
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments, following existing lesson plans or creating your own if required
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student's academic, social, and emotional development
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers when necessary

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential
  • Experience in KS1 Teaching: A solid understanding of Key Stage 1 curriculum and teaching methodologies
  • Adaptability and Resilience: The ability to adapt to various school settings and handle challenges with professionalism
  • Strong Classroom Management Skills: To create a positive and productive environment
  • Passion for Teaching: A genuine enthusiasm for supporting young learners
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
  • Recent references that can attest to your teaching experience and effectiveness

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students
  • Familiarity with phonics programs such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds
  • Knowledge of effective assessment techniques to track pupil progress
