Key Stage 1 (KS1) Supply Teacher | Infants Specialist | Local Primary Schools Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Flexible (Term Time Only) Salary: £100 - 160 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience) Start Date: Immediate / Next Term Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for the foundational years of primary education? Join our local primary network as a Key Stage 1 Supply Teacher and inspire young learners during their most formative academic transition.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead classrooms through the critical shift from EYFS into the formal National Curriculum
  • Utilize expertise in Phonics (Read Write Inc, Little Wandle, etc.) to support early reading and prepare Year 1 for their Screening Checks
  • Facilitate engaging lessons in Literacy, Numeracy, and Science
  • Support Year 1 pupils transitioning from play
  • Guide Year 2 pupils toward the independence required for Key Stage 2
  • Quickly build rapport with new classes using positive reinforcement
  • Step into different school cultures and implement the day's plan

Requirements

  • Hold QTS
  • Have qualified teacher status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification
  • Deep understanding of the Year 1 and Year 2 National Curriculum and the social-emotional needs of infants
  • Be energetic and proactive
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply)
  • 100% dedicated to safeguarding
