Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
Create a positive, well-managed, and engaging classroom environment
Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider staff
Communicate effectively with parents and carers where required
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching within KS1 – essential
Strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum
Confident in delivering core subjects, including phonics, English, and Maths
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A proactive, reliable, and committed approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Nice to have:
Experience with phonics schemes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds
Experience supporting pupils with SEND
A proven track record of strong pupil progress
