A welcoming and well-established primary school in Brighton is seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join their team on a long-term supply basis. Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members
Communicate effectively with parents and carers where required
Contribute to the wider school community and uphold school values
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum
Excellent classroom management skills
A proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Nice to have:
Experience with phonics schemes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds
Experience supporting pupils with SEND
A track record of delivering strong pupil progress
