Korea Synopsis Writer

• Writing clear, creative, high-impact English synopses for Korean movies, dramas, variety shows, documentary series and more
• Collaborating closely with editorial specialists based in Seoul – daily overlap required
• Bringing cultural understanding and contextual accuracy to every piece of writing
• Managing your own deadlines and workload autonomously (minimum ~2 titles per week)
• Working in an environment that values candid feedback, editorial standards, and exceptional craft

• Exceptional English writing ability
• Background in entertainment writing (reviews, features, synopses, journalism, script/story coverage)
• Ability to watch and understand Korean content without subtitles
• Strong familiarity with Korean entertainment, culture, context and genre conventions
• US-English writing style preferred
• Comfortable working closely with teams in Korea and managing your own timelines
• Prior experience in large entertainment organisations (SBS, SKY, Disney, NBC, etc.) is highly regarded
• Highly self-sufficient and confident in producing polished copy consistently
