This is a superb opportunity for an experienced private client solicitor to step into a knowledge role, or for an existing Knowledge Lawyer seeking a broader and more visible position within a top-tier team. Job Responsibility:

  • Developing and maintaining the team’s knowhow, precedents, and training
  • Helping deliver internal projects that enhance client service and improve efficiency
  • Keeping the team up to date with legal developments and best practice

Requirements:

  • At least five years’ PQE with strong private client experience, ideally covering UK tax and estate planning, trusts, and asset structures
  • Confident, approachable, and collaborative, with excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills

  • Administer individual and family trusts, managing investments, banking activities, and real estate holdings
  • Prepare trust/fiduciary accountings for Attorney-Trustees, including managing financial statements, income, and disbursements
  • Review and approve Foundational Estate Plans before submission to clients
  • Coordinate with clients and service providers (CPAs, Financial Advisors, Insurance Providers) to receive supporting documentation
  • Ensure proper tax treatment of transfers to individual donees, gifting trusts, generation-skipping trusts, etc.
  • Advise clients with respect to trustees' powers and duties, dispositive provisions, beneficiary rights, and tax treatment of distributions.
