This position will supervise the daily activities of the shift leaders and the employees of the 3 meal‑per‑day restaurant and roomservice. They will perform operational duties of the staff as business dictates. They will be responsible for ensuring that the staff gives quality service in accordance with the Knott's Berry Farm standards. They will ensure that the operations are clean and in compliance with Knott's Berry Farm and Orange County sanitation standards.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise the daily activities of the shift leaders and the employees of the 3 meal‑per‑day restaurant and roomservice
Perform operational duties of the staff as business dictates
Ensure that the staff gives quality service in accordance with the Knott's Berry Farm standards
Ensure that the operations are clean and in compliance with Knott's Berry Farm and Orange County sanitation standards
Complete, review, and take action to implement appropriate corrective measures to resolve operation concerns to all daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Communicate department status to the Manager and Director of Food & Beverage daily
Ensure meal and break periods are taken in accordance with Knott's Berry Farm and California State standards
Ensure all cash control procedures are followed
Make daily downward adjustments and recommendations for upward adjustments to labor, ODC, and COG levels
Maximize daily planned financial objectives per facility
Assist in maintaining positive relationships with all other departments
Maintain effective communication within your team
Make independent decisions
supervise direct reports daily work performance
Lead and motivate associates to create a team environment
Review and act upon guest feedback relevant to assigned areas of responsibility
Implement established safety, security and loss prevention policies and procedures
Monitor dining areas for seating availability, quality in food and service
Adhere to and enforce all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures
Ensure sufficient staffing levels and complete hiring associates up to the team leader level
Provide retraining, coaching and counseling regarding associates' performance issues
Ensure employees are properly trained for their assigned positions
Complete weekly staffing schedules as needed and assign work stations
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
1‑2 Years Related Experience
At Least 18 Years of Age
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word
Experience with POS system preferred
At least 1 to 2 years of experience of personnel supervision in Food and Beverage
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
