The Kitchen Team Member is responsible for supporting kitchen operations by preparing food to a high standard, ensuring strict food hygiene practices, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will play a key role in delivering a seamless back-of-house experience that supports the wider team and contributes to excellent service.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and assemble food items according to standard recipes and portion sizes
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and allergen control procedures
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including equipment, surfaces, and storage areas
Monitor stock levels and inform the manager of any shortages or required replenishments
Receive, check, and store deliveries safely and appropriately
Support kitchen deep-cleaning schedules and daily hygiene checklists
Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any faults or concerns
Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
Work efficiently with the team to support smooth service and fast turnaround times
Report all hazards and/or concerns immediately to the manager on duty
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred but not essential
Awareness of food hygiene standards and willingness to undertake training
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations
Attention to detail in food preparation and cleanliness
Time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
