Job Description

As a Kitchen Supervisor your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Contribute to a safe, healthy, and enjoyable food experience by supporting compliance with global and national food safety and operational standards. Ensure a consistent and excellent customer experience by supporting the team to see through the customer's eyes. Coordinate daily operations across kitchen and service areas to ensure efficiency and smooth service delivery. Allocate tasks, coordinate breaks, and support co-workers to maintain high performance and service standards. Apply food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles in all daily activities, ensuring operational standards are consistently met. Monitor performance through waste tracking, process improvements, and sustainability initiatives to drive efficiency. Continuously review and improve daily operations to support operational and commercial excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to coordinate daily operations and guide team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP), hygiene practices, and local regulations
  • Holds (or willing to obtain) Food Safety Supervisor certification or equivalent
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail in stock management and waste reduction
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a passion for delivering a consistent and positive experience
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure, especially during peak trading periods
  • Motivated, reliable, and aligned to IKEA values, with a passion for food, people, and teamwork
