Job Description:

The Westin Perth is looking for a Kitchen Steward to join their team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure strong food safety standards. The role also offers career growth opportunities and exclusive benefits.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting with preparing of good quality dishes with high presentation standards
Following a food preparation checklist and establishing priority items
Preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food before use
Serving food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
Maintaining organisational skills to ensure your section is clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period
Ensuring all food is prepared and presented in a way that aims to exceed guest expectations
Washing and disinfecting kitchen area, tables, tools, knives and equipment
Maintaining strong food safety and property standards
Cleaning various surfaces such as floors, benches, canteen area and more
Handling chemicals in accordance with health and safety standards

Requirements:
