Job Description:

Part Time Steward/Kitchen Hand (Back of House) position at The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart. The role entails maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, upholding health and safety standards, and assisting the culinary and food and beverage teams.

Job Responsibility:

Washing dishes, china ware, flatware, cutlery, crockery, kitchen machinery
sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning and detailing equipment
ensuring the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organised at all times
adhering to work, health, safety and sanitation policies and procedures

Requirements:

Experience working in a similar Steward/Kitchen Hand position (hotel or hospitality environment preferred)
take work, health and safety seriously and uphold hygienic standards and practices - always
passion for hospitality and supporting our entire Culinary and Food and Beverage team
good communications skills
strong attention to detail and highly organised (able to manage multiple priorities)
collaborative and willing to help where and when required
current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
collaborative in your approach and able to build trusted working relationships
move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 14kgs without assistance
stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
willing to be flexible is essential as shifts will include days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
full working rights in Australia is essential
