Job Description

The Kitchen Shift Lead supervises the operations of a shift in a restaurant, coordinates the work of team members, and maintains operational standards ensuring guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include guest service, cleanliness, food preparation, safety, and operational compliance. The role also involves cash handling, incident reporting, and adherence to company values.

Job Responsibility

  • Provides excellent guest service in a fast and friendly manner and coaches team members to do the same
  • maintains a clean restaurant environment by cleaning and performing general housekeeping duties
  • assigns shift duties to team members and follows up to ensure completion
  • directs team and ensures all food items are prepared and served in accordance with all Brand, Company, and health department regulations
  • coaches team members to follow guidelines for food preparation and production management
  • ensures product quality, food safety, and operational standards are met
  • monitors and ensures accuracy of all cash, sales, and inventory control records for the duration of the shift
  • completes end of shift and end of day paperwork and counts as required
  • communicates any discrepancies to immediate supervisor
  • guarantees a safe environment for team members and guests by following all government laws and safety codes
  • completes reports on all incidents following the 5-minute rule policy
