Job Description

IKEA Cardiff are looking to welcome a full-time Kitchen Production Assistant to join our delightful and hardworking team. This is a fast-paced role for someone who is passionate about serving simple, good-quality food. The role involves supporting in producing meals in the busy customer restaurant including meatballs and hot dishes.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparing and making meals using ovens and kitchen equipment
  • Working in a safety-first, fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Preparing for the next day's trade
  • Managing waste and working in a sustainable and cost-conscious way
  • Following cleaning schedule and maintaining high kitchen cleanliness standards

Requirements

  • 18 years old or over due to health and safety
  • Prior kitchen and catering experience is advantageous
  • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy working in a busy role with multi-tasking and working to deadlines
  • Be self-reliant and motivated
  • Ready to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety standards, or willingness to learn
