Constellation are currently recruiting hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porters to join the catering team at The Fire Service College, located in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire. The Fire Service College is internationally recognised for delivering leadership, management, and advanced operational training to senior fire officers from across the United Kingdom and overseas. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy and professional catering environment supporting trainees, staff, and visitors on site. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen and catering facilities. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation throughout the kitchen while assisting chefs and the wider catering team where required. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas
Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required
Operate dishwashing machinery safely and efficiently
Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
Replenish cleaning supplies and kitchen consumables
Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods
Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and COSHH regulations
Assist with deliveries, stock movement, and storage procedures
Keep floors, work surfaces, and equipment clean and sanitised at all times
Requirements

Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
Good teamwork and communication skills
Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
Understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
Physically capable of carrying out manual handling tasks

Previous kitchen porter, cleaning, or catering experience

Experience working within hospitality, education, defence, or contract catering environments
