Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and coach the Food Operations Team in optimising and developing the IKEA Food business by securing the IKEA brand position, strategies, legal compliance, and people & planet positive in all IKEA touchpoints
  • Support your leadership team in managing the recruitment, retention, performance management, succession planning and competence development of the team
  • Secure processes and procedures to ensure quality of food, food safety, excellence in operations and reduce waste
  • Implement global and national compliance standards, managing the food supply chain and range competence within the department
  • Secure an irresistible food offer by designing menus, ensuring quality and an appealing range presentation
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including inventory management and ordering of supplies
  • Support and develop strategies to ensure profitability through P&L management and KPI follow up

Requirements:

  • A proven leader with extensive experience in fast-paced kitchen environments
  • Passionate about creating unforgettable dining experiences through a deep love for food, outstanding product quality, and exceptional service delivery
  • Customer-focused, with the ability to analyse customer insights, identify opportunities, and work collaboratively with your team to implement and carry out effective action plans
  • A strategic leader who consistently delivers business results and supports people development through an entrepreneurial approach in a high-volume, structured environment
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, confident in engaging with all levels of the organisation and managing both internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret budgets, costs, and key performance indicators, and translate these into practical action plans
  • Knowledgeable in food safety and HACCP guidelines with excellent awareness of food safety, hygiene, WHS & manual handing standards is required
