NVQ level 2-3 in Carpentry / Plumbing or equivalent
7 or more years’ experience in your trade
3 or more years’ experience in kitchen and bathroom installations
Proven multi-trade background covering both plumbing and carpentry in residential repairs/maintenance, with completed kitchen, bathroom, and wet room refurbishments
Hold a full current driving licence
An enhanced DBS check will be required before commencement of role
Fully competent in all aspects of full kitchen, bathroom and DFG installations
Familiar and confident with use of a press gun and pipe freezing kit
Competent and willing to work with rainwater goods as and when required
Competent in all aspects of fire door remedials and fitting, including frames and linings, with proven ability to achieve compliant gaps, install/adjust ironmongery and closers

Job Responsibility

Diagnose and rectify faults across core trades, carrying out multi-trade repairs and planned works to an excellent standard in occupied and void homes, and corporate/civic buildings
Deliver end-to-end kitchen, bathroom, and wet room upgrades, including strip-out, first-fix and second fix plumbing and carpentry, floor and wall preparation, tanking/waterproofing, tray former setting, sanitaryware installation, tiling, trims/sealant, commissioning, and handover
Carry out a wide range of carpentry works: door sets and linings (including fire doors where required), first and second fix, kitchen unit installation and worktop fitting with mitred joints
Carry out a wide range of plumbing works: reactive repairs, bathroom refurbishments, pipework alterations, press-fit and traditional jointing, isolation/commissioning, and rainwater goods
Complete associated multi-trade tasks to finish standards, including ceramic wall tiling and minor decorative and basic carpentry tasks linked to upgrades and repairs
Carry out fire door remedials and full installations to a competent standard
Support colleagues across trades to ensure a professional, safe, and customer-focused repairs service
respond swiftly to emergencies and high-priority situations
Use PDA to record work, materials, and photographic evidence
keep customers and the office updated on progress and any disruption

Good level of general education to NVQ Level 2, or 5 GCSEs, grade ‘C’ or higher, or equivalent, to include English Language and Mathematics
Trade apprenticeship or NVQ level 2 or equivalent
Full driving licence
Experience in fitting kitchens and bathrooms plus all types of maintenance work in both occupied and empty properties
A thorough knowledge of all work in relation to their trade

Job Responsibility

Install kitchen/bathrooms and perform all general maintenance building work to maintain premises owned by Saffron or those they have an interest in
Requirement to perform carpentry, plumbing, tiling, etc work of a maintenance nature
Undertake building work in association with improvement contracts, minor works and small new build contracts
Carry out work not necessarily of their own trade

Working Hours - 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 16.00pm, Friday 8.00am to 15.30pm)
When On Call, Standby - £150 per week
