As a Kitchen Assistant, you are responsible (under the supervision of the Head Chef) for the preparation, simple cooking, serving of food and cleanliness of the kitchen.
Job Responsibility
Food preparation and cooking of breakfast, lunch and evening meals
Preparing sandwiches, sweets and snacks
Preparing plates, dishes and food trays
Washing up after meals and cleaning kitchen and dining areas
Completing cleaning close down duties
Ensuring all equipment is clean and maintained
Checking and recording temperatures of food and equipment
Ensuring food stores and fridges/freezers are stocked and tidy
Helping with acceptance of deliveries and putting stock away
Adhering to Health and Safety, Infection Control and Hygiene policies
Reporting any illness, accident, faulty appliances, or hazards
Contributing to safeguarding of adults
Promoting the good reputation of the Home
