Our Kitchen Assistants focus on supporting kitchen team in creating positively memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role reports to the Kitchen Manager. Other businesses may call this role Kitchen Porter.
Job Responsibility:
Basic Food Preparation: When the kitchen is extremely busy, kitchen staff may ask you to support with basic food prep
Dishwashing: All dishes ranging from pots and pans to cutlery are either hand washed or loaded into the dishwasher
Delivery Organisation: You will be responsible for receiving deliveries and ensuring they are organised once in the kitchen
Storage Management: Storage must be organised so that all ingredients are easily accessible
Waste Removal: All waste bins are emptied, ensuring all waste is disposed of promptly
Material collection: If your Chefs need materials or ingredients, you will support by collecting them
Represent our company values and culture, ensuring that service excellence remains our top priority
Requirements:
A positive, can-do attitude
Efficiency in fast-paced environment and strong communication skills
The ability to follow instructions and be adaptable to meet the needs of both company and guests
A commitment to health and safety (due to manual handling, cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and time on feet)
