Job Description

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant who is dedicated to making every moment count, regardless of their qualifications or experience. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will need to be adaptable and able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the team are essential. Your role will involve maintaining the kitchen and pantry, organising supplies, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly to meet the dietary needs of our residents, contributing to their health and wellbeing.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the Cook Safe system
  • Assist cooks with food preparation
  • Prepare vegetables
  • Dispose of food and other waste appropriately
  • Adhere to Food Safety policies
  • Keep kitchen clean and tidy
  • Report faults and defects
  • Assist with cleaning of yellow boxes, trolleys, extractor fan and cooker
  • Put away food and rotate stock
  • Attend mandatory training
