Job Description:

We’re currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our passionate, hard-working and friendly catering team, to create delicious meals, snacks and drinks for our residents. You’ll get to know our residents, understand their likes and dislikes so that mealtimes are always a highlight of their day. The Lakes is a 64 bed Care Home situated in South Cerney, Cirencester. The home offers Day, Respite, Residential and Dementia care in a comfortable, homely setting.

Job Responsibility:

Create delicious meals, snacks and drinks for residents
Get to know residents, understand their likes and dislikes
Ensure mealtimes are always a highlight of residents' day
Work alongside other team members providing care, warmth and kindness

Requirements:

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (helpful)
Positive can-do approach
Good communication skills
Passionate about ensuring residents receive the best service possible
Confident in engaging with elderly residents
Keen on cooking
Takes pride in kitchen hygiene standards
