Job Description

Our team at Isle Court are looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to assist with delivering quality meals to our residents in the care home. This is a perfect opportunity to gain some experience within the kitchen or perhaps the development of a new career in catering. You will be helping to ensure that our residents dietary requirements are met.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen environment
  • Cleaning all crockery, cutlery and food preparation equipment
  • Assist in preparation of meals for service
  • Prepare food and ingredients for service

Requirements

  • Caring, and compassionate nature
  • Catering/cooking experience
  • Food Safety
  • The desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others
  • Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work weekends

Nice to have

  • Previous experience within a health care setting is not essential
  • however, may prepare you better for the role
