Kitchen Assistant Job at Bakkavor (Newark)

Job Responsibility

Supports hospitality for customer and high-profile visits
Ensures kitchen facilities, hygiene and maintenance are kept to an agreed standard in accordance with the required health and safety procedures
Has strong relationships with factory operatives, Process and QA to support with ingredient and sample collation
Collation/collection of ingredients from all areas of the factory
Collation/collection of packaging from all areas of the factory
Collation/collection of finished goods from all areas of the factory
Decanting of materials from deliveries (must be comfortable lifting and moving up to 20kg)
Stock rotation and replenishment
Pot washing duties
General kitchen cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping and deck scrubbing
Supporting chefs in panel room general maintenance including replenishment of tasting equipment and waste management
All duties carried out following required health and safety procedures
Basic computer literacy for writing and printing labels, top sheets and updating raw materials databases (Microsoft Word & Excel predominantly)
