Job Description

KidStrong is a kids training program that builds strong, confident and high-character kids. KidStrong helps kids win at life by developing a strong body, mind and character through weekly 45 minute classes led by expert coaches.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead weekly 45 minute classes for kids
  • Engage with parents and kids
  • Alter the direction of children's lives through exercise, education, and building confidence
  • Work additional hours through birthday parties, camps, parents' night out events and other offsite/onsite events

Requirements

  • Passion for working with children
  • Must be a loud extrovert who loves the spotlight and can project voice at a HIGH volume
  • Must be available for required coaches certification process on Tuesday, January 27 and Wednesday, January 28 from 8:30 am - 7:30 pm both days
  • Must meet minimum availability requirements following training: two weekday evenings per week (3:30 pm - 7:45 pm) and one weekend day per week (8:00 am - 6:30 pm)
  • Prior experience speaking to parents and maintaining a high level of comfortability engaging with families
  • Must be able to communicate in a proactive, professional manner via technology tools and maintain a high level of professionalism
  • Must be positive, motivating, and have effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter who gets the job done
  • Must be a TEAM player who welcomes feedback and implements feedback
  • Must be able to use various technology platforms with ease and embrace new technology
  • Must be CPR, AED and first aid certified or willing to achieve this certification within 30 days of being hired

Nice to have

  • Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age range (walking through 11 years old)
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
  • Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT

  • Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
  • Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
  • Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
  • Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at the beginning of class
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading the class
  • Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
  • Ensure cleanliness of the center, including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift
  • Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers
  • Complete training through FranConnect as required by the HQ Training and Certification team
