Job Description

Justteachers is currently looking for a committed teaching assistant to enter a Key Stage One teaching assistant in Corby. The position is working across a lower key stage one setting supporting pupils with general classroom support and activities. The role is full-time on long-term basis, starting in March 2026 until July 2026. (On a temporary contract, with the possibility for a permanent contract for the right candidates). The school prides itself on the nurturing environment it has created for all pupils, with every pupil encouraged to achieve there best every day. The successful candidate for this role will be the individual who can contribute and support pupils in the same manner the school do. Shortlisting for this role is currently taking place.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting the classroom teacher with preparation and classwork
  • Supporting individual students on their academic progress
  • Leading Math & English interventions for pupils
  • Ensuring safeguarding standards are reached inside and outside the classroom
  • Contributing to the safe and nurturing environment of the school

Requirements

  • Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
  • Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
  • A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
