Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and qualified Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in the Worthing area. This full-time role is temporary with the potential to move into a permanent position and involves supporting Key Stage 3 pupils in small classes of up to 7 students within a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. As a Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and supportive lessons that help pupils re-engage with learning, build confidence, and develop both academically and emotionally. You will work closely with support staff and senior leaders to create a safe, positive, and consistent classroom environment tailored to individual needs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour (or a strong interest in this area)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A commitment to supporting pupils’ wellbeing and progress
  • Right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
  • Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one
