We are working with a primary school in the Hastings area seeking a committed and resilient Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team on a long-term supply or ad-hoc basis. Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver engaging and structured lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum
Establish a purposeful and well-managed classroom environment
Support pupils with a range of learning and behavioural needs
Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary
Work collaboratively with support staff, SEN teams, and senior leadership
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2
Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
A calm, consistent, and proactive approach
Ability to engage and motivate pupils with varying needs
Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
