Job Description

KS2 Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different primary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Bishop's Stortford and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging and effective learning across Key Stage 2.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons across the KS2 curriculum using the provided plans
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Adapt teaching approaches to support a range of learning needs
  • Assess and record pupil progress when required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to wider school life during longer‑term placements
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
  • Confident behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt to different year groups and school settings
  • Positive, organised, and committed to delivering high‑quality teaching
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
