Job Description:

I am looking to appoint a KS1 Primary Teacher in St Leonards for a long-term role within a supportive, well-run primary school that places real emphasis on early learning, routine, and teamwork. This is a school with a strong KS1 team, shared planning across the year group, and a clear phonics and early reading structure. Behaviour expectations are consistent, and teachers are supported by experienced teaching assistants and a visible senior leadership team. This role would suit a teacher who enjoys early primary teaching and understands the importance of structure and consistency in Key Stage 1.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teaching a KS1 class in line with the National Curriculum
  • Supporting pupils’ progress in reading, writing, and maths
  • Establishing clear routines and classroom expectations
  • Using assessment to inform planning and intervention
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and leadership

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent KS1 teaching experience
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training
